Transporting Segways

Transporting Segways can be done two ways.  The least expensive is the use of ramps.  This will allow you to load into a car or van.  It does require muscle as shown here…

Another way to transport is through the use of a Segvator.  This is an elevator for your car or truck specifically designed to transport Segways.  The Segvator attaches to a 2″ hitch receiver.  There are single or dual configurations.

I found these “car caddys” which help to mount the Segway using my cars luggage rack…

Transporting your scooter

I purchased this Armstrong Lift a year ago so  I could transport my scooter inside my car.  My Segway lift rode outside my car and I decided I would rather transport inside so rain and theft would not be an issue.  It took an extra modification to the scooter so I could remove the seat-back as it would not fit otherwise in my small SUV (Hyundai Tuscon).

After about a year of transporting my scooter this way, I needed help as I could no longer walk between the back and front of my car.  My husband and co-workers have been my hero’s for keeping me rolling!
